Some traditions, like bundling up to go skating (or just sliding around) on the creek, or taking pictures in Santa hats are just so much better for everyone now that we’ve got Jack around to make us all laugh.

And I’ve yet to share it with you.Can you believe it?

So today I’m making things right..I was going through my Easter stuff a few days ago and I realized that there weren’t many things in there that I really felt like pulling out this year. This little topiary always makes the cut though.

And, actually, it often stays out all year long because it’s just so cute and natural-looking..If you’d like to make your own, all you need is a cheap bag of plastic eggs and a bag of craft moss.

You can usually find each of these at the dollar store and you’ll probably be able to make several topiaries with these supplies..

So, you start out with some basic plastic eggs.I don’t think “level” was really a thing back when this house was built.

They built the outside walls out of brick first and then filled in the inside walls after.Of course, over time everything settles and there are definitely noticeable slopes in the floors in some of the rooms, but you just have to go with it.

Chris loves his level so this can be a challenge for him, but he’s learned some.ways to work around all the weird angles.
